Overview
Deosai National Park is a high, rolling plateau between Skardu and Astore, known for its wildflowers, clear streams and Himalayan brown bears.
Deosai is unlike anywhere else in the region: open, rolling grassland at high altitude, crossed by streams and ringed by distant peaks. In summer the plains are covered in wildflowers.
The national park protects the Himalayan brown bear and other wildlife. A day crossing or an overnight camp leaves time for Sheosar Lake, the Bara Pani stream and the changing light across the plains. We plan around the short season, the weather and your comfort at altitude.
